George Rahael founded the U.S. Amera Companies in 1979 and has an established track record of developing quality, market-shaping properties in South Florida’s premier growth cities, and managing their long-term success.

He shifted focus from real estate acquisition and development in his native Trinidad to select Florida markets. Starting with the acquisition of strip shopping centers and residential development in Coral Springs in the early 80s, he diversified into prime Coral Springs and Fort Lauderdale office/retail properties in the 90s.

Amera has earned a leadership role in South Florida’s competitive commercial real estate arena by creating projects with positive, long-term market impact. Believing that a rising tide lifts all boats, he has added a market-wide master plan dimension to major projects, triggering a ripple effect of enhanced value.

Rahael is founder and former Chairman of the Trinidad & Tobago-USA Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of the Council of Executive Officers of Coral Springs, Member of Coral Springs Board of Economic Development, Appointee/Charter Board Member of the Coral Springs Sister Cities Association and Member of the CEO Council for Broward Alliance. In 2008, Rahael was awarded the Urban League of Broward County’s Community Builder Award for his significant and lasting impact on Broward County through his commitment and dedication to strengthen, change and empower the county’s communities.

Charles Ladd founded Barron Real Estate in 1991 and has worked with Amera Companies since the late 1980s, serving as developer, leasing agent and, in some cases, contractor for Amera’s projects.

Ladd was an officer of the Florida subsidiary of Symcor Properties of St. Louis, and was responsible for leasing and real estate development activities including four buildings in Northeast Ft. Lauderdale and seven shopping centers. He is an active and involved resident of downtown Fort Lauderdale, serves on the Downtown Development Authority and a Riverwalk Trust boards, and is a past member of the Downtown Council.

Gisele Rahael joined Amera in 1996 and has served as Director of Operations, Vice President and now President.

Rahael is a driving force behind the annual Coral Springs Festival of the Arts which began in 2004. She currently serves on the board of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of both Leadership Broward and Leadership Coral Springs. She has also served on the Advisory Board of Dr. Reitman Unit of the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County and as the Secondary School Committee Chair of the University of Pennsylvania Gold Coast Alumni Association. A proponent of the importance of business education for children, she has volunteered as a teacher in South Florida’s Junior Achievement program. Rahael is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

As CFO, Richard Lovell is responsible for the financial operations of the company’s Florida real estate portfolio. Lovell began his career as an auditor with Price Waterhouse, serving clients in North America and the Caribbean, and as an officer of various Jaymont (USA) entities, was responsible for the financial operation of a half-billion dollar real estate portfolio. Lovell is a graduate of the University of Miami and holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting. He is active in the community and has served on the Broward County Personnel Advisory Board and the Honda Classic Finance Committee.

After years of hands on leadership in the property management department, Michael Rahael now oversees Amera’s Real Estate Services division which encompasses Property Management, Leasing, Construction and Development. Michael joined Amera in 2003 after working throughout the State of Florida conducting Real Estate Appraisals. Michael brings his eye for valuation to the team and has served the local community in various capacities over the years. Michael is a member of ICSC and the Merchants Association of Las Olas. He has been active on the CS Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee. He was also appointed to the board of the Coral Springs Economic Development Foundation where he served from 2009 to 2015.  Michael is a graduate of the University of Florida and an avid football fan.

Gillian Johnson is Amera’s Director of Marketing and Business Services.  A graduate of Syracuse University’s SI Newhouse School of Communications and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale’s fashion design program with years of experience in both New York’s advertising and Miami’s fashion design industries, Johnson’s commitment to excellence and her aesthetic perspective has informed her approach to real estate. As a licensed real estate salesperson with over a decade of experience at Amera, Johnson specializes in creating inviting places and opportunities for people to connect and is the driving force behind Amera’s marketing and special events. A member of ICSC since 2002, Johnson works closely with Amera’s property management and leasing teams. In addition to volunteering her time serving on the advisory boards of multiple small businesses and the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts committee, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
